With more than 200 combined years of experience in claims, n2uitive’s seasoned team of industry executives, advisors and software experts come from leading companies, including Progressive, Safeco, Swiss Reinsurance, and AAA.
Evan Smith, VP Technology
Evan is the public face of n2uitive’s technology. A developer by trade, he spends his days writing code and thinking about the technology landscape, and how it impacts the claims handling process. He’s spent ten years writing software professionally, in a diverse set of contexts and domains, from the startup to the Fortune 500 manufacturing company. Evan holds a BS in computer science from Seattle Pacific University. Though not a movie buff, Evan says Wild Hogs and Grown Ups are neck-and-neck for the title of Worst Movie Ever Made and he’s waiting on history to determine the winner.
Jaime Fix, Customer Service Manager
When you call customer support, it’s most often Jaime’s cool, calm, and collected voice on the other end of the phone. She helps customers get the most out of our services. Even more important, Jaime supplies all of the sugar-, salt-, and caffeine-products that power n2uitive’s staff. Jaime started transcribing recorded statements 12 years ago and has been working with them ever since. She has a BA in sociology from the University of Washington. The most awesome thing about Jaime? She knows as much about sports as most guys.
Colleen Adamo, Customer Service, Business Analyst
Colleen splits her time between providing top-notch customer service and creating activity reports for our customers so they can see how many statements are being taken, by whom, how many are sent for transcription, and a host of other details that are useful in managing their business. She spent 20 years working as a P&C underwriter, call center service manager, and sales site manager. Colleen has a BS from the University of Texas in Austin in organizational speech communication (remarkably, she earned the degree without ever learning exactly what “organizational speech communication” is).
Kendra Howe, Director of Marketing
Kendra oversees our brand and manages all of our marketing programs. A marketing generalist, she has 25 years’ experience working in marketing agencies, startup ventures, non-profits, and running her own consulting practice. Kendra has a BA in sociology and public relations from Whitworth University. When she was a small child, Kendra’s three older brothers put her in the clothes dryer and set it spinning. She’s been trying to right the world ever since.
Joel Gendelman, Chief Executive Officer
Joel oversees n2uitive’s strategic direction and operations and serves as the company’s product visionary and evangelist. A leading entrepreneur and passionate innovator in the P&C market, Joel has founded several technology and service companies that help P&C insurers improve claim outcomes, workforce efficiency and customer service. Joel has built a vast network of trusted industry relationships among insurance executives and leading vendors to the claims market. His 20+ years building and operating companies include founding n2uitive Corporation and co-founding Allegis Communications and ClaimsDesk Corporation, an early entrant in the Software as a Service (SaaS) market for claims solutions. He has consulted with various emerging companies and mentored budding entrepreneurs. Among his other accomplishments:

- Shipped visionary web-based software product reaching 1,500 claims professionals in first three months
- Experienced at successfully raising venture and angel financing – raising in excess of $10M

- Delivered technology keynote at Pacific Claims Executive Association in 2010
Joel earned his BS in finance from San Diego State University, and both his MBA and Masters in professional accounting from the University of Washington. Best thing about Joel? He’s unflappable.
Mike Williams, Advisor & Senior Consultant
Mike develops new client relationships, promotes our services, and seeks out new partner relationships. A seasoned insurance executive, Mike spent 25 years handling personal and commercial claims, managing products, and overseeing claims technology at Progressive Insurance and CorVel Corp. Now Mike consults, speaks, and teaches on a variety of insurance-related topics. He has a BA in personnel management and marketing from the University of Wisconsin, and attended the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve. One of Mike’s proudest accomplishments came when, as a Progressive employee, he won the chairman’s quality award from American Express for managing their worldwide car rental loss and damage program—a rare feat for an outside vendor.
Barb Mandaville, Senior Project Manager
Barb is like a concierge—she does a little bit of everything—and always with a smile and an impeccable level of professionalism. She works with new clients from set up and training through report distribution and ongoing support. Barb spent 16+ years at Progressive Insurance where she listened to thousands of recorded statements, helped create an inbound call center, and implemented an in-house interpreter service. As she does with life, Barb took the scenic route with her education. She started at Kent State University, studied in Mexico, went to school in Texas, and ultimately graduated from Ursuline College in Ohio with a BA in psychology and Spanish. But make no mistake, she is a detailed-oriented pro when it comes to supporting clients.
